Well We're Here--Sort Of

We've made it to New Jersey. But still not place to live. I'm writing this from a Days Inn in East Windsor, New Jersey.

We're hoping to meet the realtor tomorrow to view those properties. I'm not holding my breath though--I couldn't get a hold of him today.

So maybe we'll be surfing craigslist tonight.

I'm so tired, I don't care if we live in a shithole.

It's been great being able to move, but I'm ready to unpack and get into a routine. Plus I just want to get this whole deal of shelling out nearly $3000 to secure an apartment done and over with you know?

I've checked my email and was so happy to see a ton of KAYE entries! Woo!

I'm going to reiterate that the February drawing might be a little later than expected due to this move. But once I'm back up and wired, the yarn love will commence.

Keep those entries coming!!!

Alright, cross your fingers that we find a place to live. Dr. Mad Scientist has to go into Mt. Sinai to pee in a cup, get a physical, and sit down with the postdoc office to go over paperwork on Monday. The moving truck is due back Sunday. Lord I hope we have a roof over our head sooner!

Stay tuned!

Glad you made it to NJ okay. I just read a story about the NJ Pine Barrens. I mentioned it to a NJ native and he had some interesting things to say about them. You should look into it once you're settled.

Good luck with the roof search!

Yaaayyy! You made it! And you're back! The week seemed amiss withoucha. I think at one point I was just wandering aimlessly around the house, walking into walls. ;)

Will give the realtor a virtual kick in the ass to find you, Dr. MS and Chunkster a fab place to call home!

I'm happy you made it Bez! I'm sure you'll find a new place soon. don't settle for a craphole, trust me.

The Barrens are weird! Drive through and you can see why the stories bloomed up. Bez is north of them a ways, so no worries of the Devil visiting!

No way, no way!! You're thisclose to Hightstown (where I lived for most of my life). Go to the Latin bakery in town while you're there. They make the best cannolis (no lie).

It is exhausting to move, no matter how happy the move, so give yourselves time and patience. You will enjoy it there and find a good place to live. (No place in NJ is perfect, but many are darn nice.) I heard you may have settled on Bloomfield. That'll be perfect for city access.
