A Very Devious Plot Unveiled--Sort Of

So say your mom turns 50 today.

What do you get her?

Chocolates?

Yeah, she can't eat them.

Flowers?

Yeah, the monster of a cat she lives with might eat them.

(That's Youngest Younger Sister in the picture--not me. Pig and his four mitten paws --to help support his large frame-- is her cat!)

What to do, what to do?

You could send a card!

Or maybe 50!

And on each card you could number them and put one clue to a puzzle on them.

And on the envelope you could come up with fifty different variations on your mother's name ranging from "Dr. Mad Scientist's Favorite Mother In Law," to "- - a" (her name is Barbara).

And mail them bit by bit from mailboxes all over Northern New Jersey.

I don't think she's received all of them yet so I can't reveal exactly what or how the puzzle works.

Funny thing is, with the price of postage these days, 50 cards still cost me about as much as a nice bouquet or box of chocolates might have.

Happy Birthday to my most Favorite Mommy!

Happy Birthday Bezz-Mom!

Yep, must steal that idea for when my lil' brother turns 18...as it is we really feel just one simple little day to celebrate what took almost a year to create? Sheesh, we go for birthday months in my house. And the mom always gets a card too :), I mean, well, she was involved too after all :).

Happy Birthday BezMom! Many happy returns of the day!

What an elaborate plot! I love it.

And that is without a doubt the fattest cat I have ever seen. I am surprised your sister can lift him. Sheesh. Put kitty on a diet.

Yes! So far my B-earth-day has been a good 1. I have just gotten out of the shower so I may be as old as cheese I will not smell like it!! T you know how much I like those smooshed pennies!! After my German display on my Barfie Marfie shelf I will have to display all my shot glasses. And your Youngest Sister has made me a cake that I think I can have a sliver of!! What more can a Mom want for her B-earth-Day? Thank you!! Love, Mom

I saw a variation on this from my SIL. One of the other sisters was turning 30, so she got a "you're turning 30" card every day for a month! (the month leading up to her birthday)

That is briallant! MIL birthday is in September and she is 60. I am trying to think of different things for b-day and she loves cards. Except to the UK that would cost too much money. Hmm, maybe postcards.

Mom didn't even need my help figuring out the puzzle. Haha! She may be 50, but she's still smart as a whip. Hahaha! I don't know how the cake I made her will taste...but I told you about that in my last email to you at work.
Anyway, this was a pretty awesome idea. I just wish I could have watched Mom put out all the cards and figure it out.

PS. Oh my god! I look just like you!! And we share the same initials. Wait, are we the same person? Hahah! ;P
