Let's Go Rammies!

12:00 p.m. EST --- Colorado State (home of the undergraduate Dr. Mad Scientist degree) v. University of Colorado at Mile High Whatever The Corporate Name Is Now Stadium! Who else gets to start the season with one of their fiercest rivalry games?!

GO RAMS!!!!

If I get my Saturday morning chores done in time--I'm sooo casting on for a pair of Ram socks today! It's football season again!

Yarn purchased at Pink Wool's etsy shop. She's an OSU fan, but we love her anyway!

I take it those are CSU's colors. Cool. I'm going to make some BGSU (Bowling Green, whence Mr. Mag hails) hockey socks in BGSU colors, Orange and Brown. 1978 baby, was a very good year!

I look forward to the socks! My school colors are nice, but I went to community college ;) Won't be seeing those folks tossing the skin!

Ok! For having grown up in a household that really didn't follow and kind of sport, you are really into the Rammies! I'll give you we did follow the White Soxs but that was because Grandpa Riley followed them. Love, Mom

Glad you like the yarn, Bezzie. :) And please do show FO pics!! OSU is playing Youngstown State today and the game isn't being aired so I'm having a little withdrawl of football. Luckily there are other games to be viewed today (like the spanking of U of That State Up North by Appalacian State. Teehee).

Illinois is opening it's season against Missouri this year (right now!), playing, as they always do, in St. Louis, a city full of grads from both schools. It's the "Arch" rivalry!

I'm still working on the orange and blue Illini socks -- I've come to a really horrible knot-wad, which is discouraging. I must have had Simon wind this yarn!

Who picks football team colors anyway? They are always the strangest combos! Have fun watching and knitting!

Ooo, love that colorway! Even though I only watch football through osmosis. Because starting today, Hubster is in sports hog heaven and it will be on all. the. time. *sigh*

Oooh, I'm also looking forward to seeing how those socks turn out. Football season = pumpkin bread season = fire in the fireplace season = more knitting season. Gotta love it. Well, except for the *constant* fantasy football chatter that goes on in the workplace...

(I'm less ambitious than you are - Dad is getting UW(ashington) Husky Fuzzy Feet...)
