Pass The Straw--Because I'm Melting

Because after a weekend of this:

And no air conditioning, it's time to put these:

In the freezer, and dig out this from the old underwear drawer:

Thank god for cold-fish-cold-water bottle covers--how I slept in this shitty hot weather without one before, I'll never know!

Stay cool!

Nice drawers ;0)

So, you mean you sleep with a bottle of chilled water? I guess that's handy if you get thirsty in the night :0)

You really are full of the most ingenious ideas Bezzie.

Did you invent that fish. I like it. I'm too lazy to copy it, but I will find another pattern for one. I was hoping this summer would be less hot. I've been trying to keep what's left of the cold inside the house. I can feel it rushing out when I have to hold the door open for the dn cat.

The cold fish water bottle cover! I remember that! We're wusses in the weeza house, though, and cave to the a/c.

I've never heard of a cold fish water bottle cover. How do you use it?
what does it do?

It is nasty hot! I was dripping sweat all day long. We have an ac but it is old and does nothing. Our box fan has more uph to it.

Love the cold fish! Save it for when you're my age and get hot flashes.

Is New Jersy hot worse than Texas hot?

The worst part was going from 60° to 90° - literally in two days time. Friday it was a high of 60° and today it's supposed to be in the 90s.

Of course, I'm not complaining, personally. The one thing I miss about living down south is having some nice, hot weather. Weird, I know, and if I were still there, I'd be complaining about it being too hot, but after freezing my ass off all winter, I'm glad the hot weather is finally here so that I can get warm again :).
