Cookie of the Week

This week--perfect for a rainy Sunday baking--Butterscotch Gingerbread cookies:

Holy guacamole. Delish! Dr. Mad Scientist--who claims to hate butterscotch--even said these were really good. Which is kind of a shame because I was hoping that he wouldn't like them--more for me and Chunky! Ha ha!

For some reason gingerbread cookies remind me of Moochie's head.

I'm not sure why. He'd rather eat your hand than a cookie anyway.

Recipe stolen from Nestle.

Butterscotch is good, but to babies anything must be taste tested first. Did you ever stop to think that your hands may have the essence of butterscotch?

I'd sell a kid for one of those cookies right now. I don't care that it's all of 9:30 in the morning. Gingerbread would be perfect for brekkies, right?

Yum.

you know, because of a comment you made a long time ago, whenever I see a red scarf I wonder, "Is that person an orphan?" and now, whenever I bite the head off of a gingerbread man, I'll think "Wonder how moochie's doin'"!

So... uh... when are you sending me bigger pants? Because the ones I have tend to feel a bit tight every time you post about food, don't know how that happens. Or where the flour stains come from. It's a mystery.

Mmm. We make the basic toll-house recipe, then use butterscotch chips and thin sliced almonds. Irresistible. But ginger sounds good, too.

Swear to god, my verification word is admin!!!

I rarely like non-chocolate containing cookies or desserts, but those cookies sound really good!

Now, where do you find time for all that baking and knitting between a young baby and a demanding job? I need some of your energy!
