Satis-faction

Holy guacas.

It's amazing what bringing home no work and having a three day weekend will do!

I did NOTHING on Saturday (ok I went grocery shopping) and it was everything I thought it would be and more.

Sunday?

I got some quick baby blankets made up for some people I know expecting offspring soon.

More on what I've included with those receiving blankets later.

I also took these:

And started on this:

Very cool. I'm super excited about this!

I also managed to:

* Make a big old bowl of tater salad--Bezzie style, you make it with a squirt or two of ranch dressing, yum!

* Bake 3 dozen "breakfast cookies" (more on those later too).

* Finish reading one of my library books (yes Mom, I took your suggestion...it didn't suck but it wasn't phenomenal).

* Get some substantial knitting done on a baby present (that will be married to one of those receiving blankets).

* And I got to of course hang out with my boys!

What did you get done this weekend?

Planted my garden. Took the dog for long walks. Sat on the deck. Napped. Yup, pretty satisfactory any way you look at it.

I think your weekend has been more enjoyable than mine. I moved more of my mom's stuff in, got rid of more of her stuff, got rid of more of my stuff, cleaned the carpet in her future bedroom, cleaned the windows in there as well. Man, I wish you were here. You would be hooked up w/ all kinds of cool stuff that cannot be kept in my humble abode. :)

I have been having a Yard Sale and in the process have read Sandra Dallas's lastest book "Prayers for Sale", I also worked on an Ohio Rose quilt block.

Cute picture of "The Boys"!!!

Love, Mom

check you out all a'quiltin'! good for you, it's fun to be productive in a creative fashion once in a while.

I only had one day off this week (as per usual) and I just dorked around in town.

Sounds like a GREAT way to spend three days off! I also had a mostly do-nothing weekend. A little Strawberry Festival for my birthday on Saturday, groceries on Sunday, several naps and today we're going to the movies with my nieces. and then perhaps another nap ;)

Enjoy the rest of your day!

You were productive. Can I ask how you made the receiving blankets? I've got 9 billion baby showers coming up it seems.

Saturday, I took Pi for a haircut and took her to a friend's party. Sunday I did nothing and napped. It was fabulous! Today, I've been organizing old books, tapes, and records for a flea market sale we're doing next week. Oh, and I've got caramel brownies in the oven right now. Plus, I finished knitting an owl. Three day weekends are friggin awesome.

Took my Mom to Costco and my parents out to dinner for belated B-day/Mother's day, started a new sweater, went to the antique street fair, took a nap, finished a book, knit on another sweater, napped...

Cute receiving blankets. I especially like the monkey print. Your quilt looks mighty fine.

Three day weekend....not! It was my weekend to work plus my holiday to work. The joys of hospital work. At least yesterday and today I was at our slower campuses so I got through 1 1/2 of my lastest books. I guess that was productive.

Love, Aunt Susan

Very productive! Must have been nice to work on some fun projects. My weekend was consumed with painting and home improvements but at least I now have a light at the end of the tunnel!

I had a good weekend, too. Just productive enough to be satisfying but enough relaxing so I didn't feel overworked. What a difference one extra day makes.

I gained a few pounds from all the grilling/drinking. I also managed to get the house clean by 9:30am Saturday so I didn't have to do squat for the rest of the weekend. :) Oh yes, I lost a few rounds of Scattegories. Yep, that's all I did.

That quilt is going to be the awesome!

Went drag racing, miniature golfing, celebrated my sixth wedding anniversary, and watched a marathon of CSI:NY for some unknown reason.
