Sneak Peek

Gah, I REALLY want to expose these--they turned out so well!

But for now all you get is little snippets.

Sorry.

I also realized that I've had my wheel for exactly one year this week.

I'll be honest, I still don't know shit about spinning.

I can't tell you what a long draw is, spinning from the fold, what skirting a fleece involves, or what the micron count of merino is...

But I can spin with a squirmy Moochie on my lap!

I'm terrible at guessing, so I won't even try. But the button/flower detail on whatever the second picture is really pretty.

Moochie looks a little concerned about what you're doing. LOL

I don't know anything about spinning either, but I think you're quite talented to be able to do it while a little one watches from your lap!

Nice waffling! Alas, I don't spend much time worrying about spinning technique, underwear, or toenails. I must be one of *those* people.

Do you think that our foremothers did that? Spun with a child on her lap? Do you think that was the early way to teach the child a trade? Just a few ???'s
Can't wait to see those things! I like the flower.
Love, Mom

Whatever the knit is, it looks likeit will be super cute! And at least you are getting spinning timein. Somehow, I can't find time. Of course, the Neverending Noragi might have something to do with it...

(Started to write a small novel and thought better of it.)

I'm amazed you can spin with the Bebeh on your lap. That takes awesome skills and a mellow baby.

love the spinning pic. as long as you are happy with the yarn that you're producing, i say go with the flow.

and believe me, you don't want to skirt a fleece unless it just came off your own animal. i'll take my fleeces pre-skirted, thank you very much. (i found some poo bits on my romney fleece and it was pretty gross)

Bezzie,

I can't believe how big he's gotten, and so fast. Seems like just yesterday. And, to think I was gonna ask you if you wanted me to make you a sling.

I think that Moochie's doing the spinning and you're just covering his hand so we wont discover the truth.

And my guess is that your sneak peek is a dolphin wearing a sweater with flowers on it.
