Moo!

Grab your glass of milk--it's Cookie of the Week (CoW) time!

Or hey, grab your stuffed piggie and come along with me!

This week's cookie is the Lemon Snicker.

100_7270

Take your basic snickerdoodle recipe and substitute lemon extract for the vanilla extract and add 1/2 a teaspoon to the granulate sugar you roll the cookies around in before you bake them.

Mmm...so delish! I love the chewy semi-baked centers!

Even though I had to turn the oven on to make these, they're a very "summery" cookie.

I love lemon cookies. I haven't made snickerdoodles for years but I could be tempted to turn on the oven for those.

Yum! I'm really into lemon right now - in fact, I made lemon bars tonight and a lemon pound cake over the weekend. I'm going to try this!

And Moochie really does look like he's scooting along right behind you!

I'll have to try those cookies. I'll end up eating all of them. I love lemon.

Moochie is soooo cute with his piggy (love the piggy plate).

I don't like any lemon desserts, but my husband loves them - I know he would love those cookies! Is that a crocheted blanket I see in that photo?

Hey now, didn't think it was possible to improve upon the snickerdoodle, but I daresay you have. Will have to try this one!

Now that is an excellent idea, subbing in lemon for vanilla! But I think you should call them Lemondoodles. Just so you can say doodle. DoodleDoodleDoodleDoodle.

Yes, sometimes I do channel a 12-year-old. Why do you ask?
