Maybe because I like potatoes but "Octubre" is more fun to say than October.

Anyway, after reading Donna's promise to try Blogtoberfest I figured what the hell, I'll do it too. The rules seem simple enough: post every day for the month of October.

It's been a while since I've done any type of cyber challenge. The hardest part will be peeling Dr. Mad Scientist off on Saturdays to post.

My other goal for October is making it to the weekend. It's been a doozy of a week at work and I've been trying to push out the jive and bring in the love. I can't wait for this fucking economy to pick up so I don't have to do the job of a secretary, mother, and paralegal which is yes, three jobs in one right now. And sadly only one of those words describes the job I get paid for.

Push out the jive!

Finally, my last goal for Octubre is to finish a new winter hat for Chunky.

New Hat

Can you believe he's still wearing this nightmare?

Yes, it looks good in that picture because it's four years younger in that picture, and also because you can't see the top of the hat. I suck at decreasing ribs. The new Chunky winter hat will NOT have continuous ribs!!

Out with that jive!

You'll have a blast with Blogtoberfest :). I did the "NaBloWriMo" one year (that's the "National Blog Writer's Month"), which had the same rules, and was also in October ;). I used several of my days posting lists of the Top 100 Books ;).

I'm looking forward to reading Bezzie wisdom every day for a month. I have to say, you've been slackin' :).

Look at how teeny Chunky was!

I don't think I could post everyday for a month. At least not without a little mental prep first.

I'm also looking forward to a Bezzie bit everyday!

Oh, and I feel ya on the 3 jobs in one. Sucks major balls.

Hey, I keep an eye on your blog, it cracks me up sometimes! but I stay quiet most of the time.. Not much to say haha but I wanted to let you know about this one hat pattern that I knitted recently, and it was my first time working with DPNs (I learned to crochet first and knitting terrified me for a while) and the way the ribs decrease looks pretty neat. I found it on ravelry, but the link is here:
Just thought I'd put that out there, it must be an easy pattern if I got it haha and it comes out really nice. Good luck with the new hat, I'm looking forward to seeing it!

I think hats suck in general (to knit, I mean). Mine needs another one too, can't figure out what to make - thinking about that dead fish hat...

Just the thought of having to make a blog post everyday gives me the shakes. Too much pressure for me.

We were just told at work yesterday that we will be taking a 20% pay cut, and to hold on because it is going to be a rough ride for quite some time. A 20% cut in pay isn't rough enough for everyone eh, it's gonna get rougher. Ah well, some like it rough ;) That would be called M & M, wouldn't it? Tee hee hee And, really, I am pissed about it all. I just have to find something to laugh about right now.

Look how small Chunky was! I end up making extra hats every year - my progeny is extremely talented at losing my handknit gems.

I'da already flailed if I'd even had known about blogtoberfest...Yey for daily posts from you! Something to look forward to...

I hear you on the too many jobs with nary enough compensation. I think this is why I keep getting sick and have been too tired to post!

Something's gotta give or we'll all be burned out too soon.

What a great idea! Blogtoberfest! I shall be checking here daily...

That hat...looks EXACTLY like one I made for Maxman about the same age. Same colour, shape, everything. I made mine from some Lion Brand Microspun (think that's it's name), and it went all floppy after the first wash. We still have it, but Maxman refuses to wear it, alas.

you are braver than I to even try blogfest! I haven't had much luck with challenges and knit alongs lately.

But I must say - I will be looking forward to reading your blog each day.
