Horrorscope

On Sunday my horrorscope was eerily spot on:

000_0257

The only other horrorscope I have had that was so correct was the one from the day I gave birth to Chunky. It read "Today people will be barking orders at you."

I think "Push!" counts as barking an order.

Not one to tempt fates or skip a weekly therapy session (if baking is therapy, what the hell does that say about me?!), I used an idea Melissa had posted in the comments and that Dr. Mad Scientist twisted a bit.

We took these:

Pulled out this:

(any brownie recipe will do)

Mixed up this:

And added these:

000_0262
(I only ended up using Snickers and Crunch bars. Other bars were contemplated as you can tell from the first picture.)

And then we got some delicious brownies that I didn't take pictures of!

Oops! But they were quite delicious!!!

Are you trying to tell us that Chunky, Moochie and DrMS ate ALL those brownies???!! They sure sound like they would be delicious!

What a great way to use some of that candy ;).

I'm so mean ... I made my girls dump all of their candy into one (big) bowl, and then, I sort out about half the chocolate bars and put them in the freezer.

Well crap, someone in my circle is displeased with me? I guess I couldn't sense that, what with parking my ass on the couch all day to watch "V" and "V: The Final Battle". Must've been the cheesy 80s vibe, blocking that out.

Nummy. I supposed the other bars were repossessed or did not last through the cooking process.

That's genius! I have to raid Pi's candy stash now. Why doesn't my horoscope ever tell me to bake?

OMG, that's a damn good idea! Thank you! We didn't have but a handful of trick-or-treaters (so disappointing) and the amount of candy we have left could feed a small army!

Ooooh, do those brownies sound tasty!

Boy, do I wish I could eat Snickers bars (haven't been able to eat nuts since I had two surgeries on my colon 8 years ago). All my favorite candy bars had nuts (Mr. Goodbars, Snickers, Hershey bars with almonds, Chunky bars, and Toffifay), and I can't eat any of them anymore, so I actually rarely eat candy anymore.
I just get my chocolate fix from brownies and chocolate chip cookies now.

OMG - that looks amazing! I never would have thought to add candybars to brownies, but I've GOT to try it when I have a kitchen again.
