I'm Not Crazy!

Or at the very least, I'm among crazy people.

We won't last that long though this year. Moochie and the In Laws. Ah well, there's always next year!

That's a little extreme. Brrrrr. I try to hold off on the A/C but never last. I might be able to go without heat but there might be a revolt, when it's cold and damp it's COLD.
I'd love to see how long you make it next year!

We did ok for a while. But those really damp, cold days did us in. It's off now (who needs heat when it's 70 degrees outside?) and I'm grateful for the reprieve.

Hahahahaha! I would have never guessed that there would be people competing for such a thing! We can't do that up here the pipes would freeze, but we keep the temp at 65. That is warm enough even when it is below zero like this morning. Love, Mom

The competition allows things like fireplaces and space heaters, but there's no mention of cookie baking. Huh. Were you competing, I think you'd take the others cold.

We haven't turned ours on yet, but I can tell you that will change shortly. It is suppose to be in the high 40's outside, so my husband will insist on the heat being turned on in the house. See, going through the change has it's advantages during the winter ;p. I think I could make it almost all winter w/o the heat right now.

Hilarious! When I first turned on the heat this year I thought of you and the fact that you are WAY more hard core than I am.
When I saw your post title on the blogger reader thing, the next thing that came to mind is "Yes you are" LOL!

It's not crazy, call it being greener or something :).

If you bake more while the inlaws are there will that help keep your place warmer?

I did put off turning it on, and am having days when it is off - you, dear B, are my inspiration! DH is happy, he is watching the bills - but that is a little extreme.

ours has been on. we've got a kid that will run around naked even in 30 degree weather so I feel that's its my motherly duty to heat the house. sigh.

Only in NJ would there be a contest like this.... and you would totally win.

We've had our heat on too. My kid also is anti-clothing, so we have to when its chilly. I did get my first gas bill and Holy Moly!

If I worked outside the house, I'd totally be in on that. But when you're in the house 20 hrs/day? Your brain starts to go if it's too cold for too long. I keep it low during the day and around 60 at night, but yeah, it's on.

I really hope the woman in that photo has her knees up under her snuggie. That shot makes her look like she's 500 lbs!
