All the Things I Ought To Be Doing

It is a long list.

I should be reknitting the coffee cozy for Moochie's teacher for Christmas. (It was a smidge too tight for the cup.)

I should be knitting a little something for cousin Blue Face Lester.

I should be finishing the other skull mitten I'm knitting for Chunky on the down low for Christmas.

I should be thinking about boxing presents I do have finished up for the sib families and the 'rents.

But I'm not.

Instead I've been making these.

A couple of glass ornaments:
100_8052
Red Sheep In Morning, Shepherds Take Warning!!!

100_8056
Jack the Sheep Nipping at Your Nose.

And a set of marble magnets:
100_8061

But here's the deal: to get me motivated to get my ass boxing up the stuff I have finished making (it's a very cheapass-handmade-family-present year) and to the post office I'm giving away the glass decopage-y goodness you see above.

Leave a comment here before the end of December 8 (12 pm EST) and I'll randomly draw three winners for these little doo-dads.

Aww! They're cute!

And yeah, I'm with you - sometimes the "wanna" just takes over from the "hafta" or "shoulda" stuff. :)

Nice!!

I ought to be doing a lot of Christmas craft stuff today too, like finishing a cardigan for Dirty Grandma. But, PMS and a snowy day, I've been baking cookies all day instead.

I'd like a little more info about the coffee cozies you're knitting. I can't do much with regard to patterns, but I can knit squares ... and rectangles :). I think I could, probably, knit a coffee cozy ;).

You've gotten me out of my self-induced blog exile for a comment... although I should've left one on your touristy photos and/or family visiting photos (the one with Chunky in front of the nakers Christmas tree? Awesome.)

Huzzah for cheapass present year!

I can't believe that you said that! Are there really red sheep in the morning? Does Jack sheep really nip at your nose? Yeah, we all should probably be doing something other than what we are doing but....All work and no PLAY makes Bezzie a dull knitter!!! Love, Mom
PS: There are only red sheeps in the morning when they have been out partying all night!
PSS: Jack Sheep only nips at your nose if you are gras in the field that he is eating in.

'red sheep at morning'? That's too cute. I hate wrapping and boxing things up. But today's the day.

I have just come to a complete standstill regarding Christmas. At least you are doing something for the season!

I am procrastinating by blog surfing.
There are the slippers to finish knitting - now that I am more sure there is sufficient yarn to make two.

The overseas presents are going to be late - but they are used to that. If I get some dishcloth knitting done - fine. If not - they will just get the other (a store-bought gift).

I like the saying about red sheep in the morning. There must have been a few of those around here today.
At 8:30 am, it was raining.
At 8:48 am, I looked out the window again because a change had caught my eye. The rain was starting to come down in a whitened form!

And it's still snowing!

Ho Ho Ho, and happy knitting to all,

Things I should be doing:

1) Cleaning my house (seriously - did anyone else get hit by a tornado in the last week?)
2) Finishing Christmas presents
3) Exercising

What's that phrase...your words to some diety's ears? :).

Yey diversions...because as much as I need to work on my dad's lap blankie...finishing up super old projects just won't let me...urgh, I hate being sooooo very good at procrastinating, sometimes...

For some reason the hardest part of the holidays this year was getting to the post office.

Actually, I don't think I'll make it for a few of the last minute knitted items since I only have till Friday.

I have committed to not knitting anything, not making anything, and not purchasing anything for anyone over the age of 10 for Xmas this year. It actually feels really good.

Ok, I'll probably buy the hubby a gift, but whatever. :)

I loves the Jack sheep. I want him.

Cute ideas....I love to get handcrafted gifts.

I'm off for almost a week...don't know how that happened. So I'm hoping to bake & make my candies while I'm off. Better finish my shopping also during that time.

Love, Aunt Susan
