It's Almost Worse Than Childbirth

Ok, so not really.

But crap, writing patterns is painful!

I was going to say that I know of no pain worse than childbirth, but I take that back - I had two surgeries on my colon, and a colostomy, and those were much worse than giving birth.

Whatever that is you're knitting looks pretty so far!

I finally watched that movie for the first time and also loved that hat. I am free to test knit if you need it!

I hear that. It's why all my uber-cool Poops Originals are scribbled on the backs of things and not neatly typed or God-forbid! published.

Today I charted the kids' Christmas stocking mittens for next year and it wiped out a whole day.

My word verification is "ovaring". Sounds like a generic brand of birth control you only have to change once a month.

Yeah, but don't think that you have to do it just like in the magazines! Just write it the way you'd want to read it.

Ooooo . . . I would totally test knit that bad boy for you too!

Or, you know . . . I could wait and make it when the pattern is widely available.

I've never made up more than a ribbed sock with some minor modifications. But I can imagine your pain.

It gets easier. Really. Unlike childbirth.

Yay for the elf hat! Not that my skills are good enough to do circulars AND cables at the same time. But they will be one day (I hope!)

P.S. - Looking forward to meeting you Sunday!

Yay!! So glad you are writing up that pattern :) And yeah, that's my least favorite part of the whole "design" process!

I bet it is! So hard when you find out not everybody thinks alike. That's usually my problem. I think I'm being clear, then somebody comes up with a question I thought I'd covered. Yep, hard.
However... can't wait to see what it is! Elf hat? Please, please, please?

I'm terrified to write a pattern! I have whipped a couple of things up from scratch/knowledge/memory, though.

Pattern writing is a pain int he butt. I never understand how anyone can actually sit down and do it, I'd poke my eyes out with toenail clippers first...
