Some Burdens

Rebecca texted me yesterday to let me know that they've accounted for about 2/3rds of her family. Her aunt and a handful of cousins are OK. Homeless with some minor injuries, but OK.

They haven't heard from a few other family members, but they're holding out hope.

Thank god my burdens aren't that big and I've got my goofy goobers nearby all the time.

I'm with you in being thankful that I have my "goofy goobers" close by at all times. It's just too awful to imagine ....

Love the pic ;).

We should all count our blessings everyday!

I am glad she has had some contact w/ the majority of her family. I pray to God that she will hear from the rest.

Glad to hear they're tracking her family down. I'm hearing they're still finding people safe, so here's hoping the rest are among them.

My goofy goofy goober (yeah!) is snoozing in the other room. Instead of sweeping and folding laundry, I'm going to watch him instead. Much better use of time, I think.

The goober certainly seems to enjoy being close by!

Glad your friend has most of her faily contacted.

I'm quite certain I will be fairly frantic when "the next big one" hits Los Angeles. Too many friends out there to believe I wouldn't know anyone affected.

Glad 2/3's of Rebecca's family is accounted for and here's hoping for good news about the final third!

I hope the find the rest of the family alive and well. How terrible to not know.

And, yes, we are lucky. I'm going to take my daughter out to breakfast this morning and just enjoy her company.
