Cute & Sweet

While I'm in between projects I've been knitting baby sweaters.

No, not for me.

For the anticipated wave of procreation I'm expecting in a year or two. Right now I'm riding a wedding-wave. And you know how the old adage goes: first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the happy couple with the baby carriage.

Therefore, I give you my latest stockpile knitting:

100_8940

A boring little strawberries n'cream colored Tulips baby sweater. I had wanted to knit this out of black and that pink, but I didn't have any black acrylic that was the right weight.

Bummer!

Now for some sweets--an army of cookies for the coworkers tomorrow.

They look like they're about to attack!

100_8944

Double chocolate chunk macademia nut.

Officially called "Dreamy Chocolate Chip Cookies." Like a cookie you would see in TigerBeat magazine, if freshfaced teen hearthrobs were cookies instead of wannabe men.

I'd much rather make out with this cookie than Justin Beiber.

But maybe I'm getting old.

I love the Tulip pattern. As evidenced by the fact that I knit it twice last summer (neither time in Dream in Color!) Those cookies look awesome. I need to get baking. I have friends in Mississippi that are owed cookies.

Your mom took my opening...I know not of this Justin person either. But a FB friend posts often about her kinder-aged child and /her/ love of Justin, so I'm definitely out of that loop.

I stash baby hats. It's the best way to use up the extra bits of yarn from the one girly hat I made my niece, YEARS ago :).

Love the Tulip... maybe I should get my hands on the pattern. And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one stashing baby sweaters. I love screwing with people at work by making baby things every few weeks/months but not getting any bigger in the belly.

The cookies also look fab, and can I just say I'm Canadian and the whole Justin Bieber thing confuses the shit out of me.

I'd rather make out with that cookie too, LOL!

I wish I was one of your coworkers - they've got it made with all those homemade cookies you always bring in.

Really cute sweater, by the way! Of course, I'm biased towards anything pink!

Too old for Bieber is IMO a very good thing. I actually had lived in a Bieber-free world until a few months ago. I don't care if they say he is 15/16/whatever...he looks about 11 to me.

Cute Tulip! You DO think ahead.

It's been so HHH lately I can't bear to imagine how those cookies occurred. One suspects sweat may have been involved.

I'd rather have the cookies,too. I know I'm old.

I like the pink and white sweater and it's a good idea to make them ahead of time. I do that with socks. I make a stock pile and then I can give them away.

I'm with you on the Justin Beiber front. As a mother of tweeny girls I regretfully know more than I wish to about the androgenous Beiber!

Love the sweater! It reminds me of a lollipop. The cookies look amazing as always too!

Dude, Justin Beiber is Pi's new "love." Ugh! I don't understand the new wave of girly boys out there.
