992

I have 992 posts here.

Almost 1000.

But that's not quite accurate.

You see, like the post I had up before this one, many times I type shit that isn't very well thought out. Or I type it between batches of cookies not really taking the time to explain what I really mean before I hit "Publish Post" and I inflame people I didn't meant to upset.

These are the days I consider just shutting it down. In the five years I've been doing this, I find myself censoring more and more all the time.

Work is one thing I used to try to make light of on here (back in Michigan). Oh the stories I could tell you now.

But can't.

You'll just have to wonder what those unpublished posts are.

Sorry. For that, and for being a clod.

Maybe we'll make it an even grand and call it good.

You simply can never stop blogging. I'm too invested. I feel like your family is my family! I would miss you all wayyyyy too much. And you don't even know me :) But I am a faithful reader. Some people knit, some sew-- I read your blog!

You can't please everyone all the time...I say that having read your last post (my reader had "captured" it) and though not the comments, so I'm not sure who was hurt how/etc. The times I've edited for content in my not-very-constant blogging history, are few, and ALL rub me the wrong way...still...but that's what happens when you don't have an editor, right?

It's all about perspective and experience, always has been. But if it stops being fun? Also not worth it.

Is 992 considered your post for the 22nd? Cuz if you end with #1001, that'll end the month out nicely. I'll be sad to see you go, though.

WHAT!? Where am I to here the Chunky news? Or the Moochie goings on?

Have you been talking to T? She did a finale on hers the other day.

I guess this will mean that we will have to e-mail more or talk on phone more! Hahahahaha!!! That would drive your father crazy!

Love, Mom

Perhaps you should have a parallel anonymous blog which tells all the things you feel you have to edit on your blog!

I, for one, would miss reading abour you and your men. I don't think I've ever read anything you've written that was offensive. I work in a community mental health center and talk about stories! One day, we'll have to meet in central Jersey somewhere and have coffee and swap work stories.

I'm ignorant of whatever the kerfluffle was, but I'd miss your posts.

Of course, considering the reasons I let my own blog die, I also sympathize.

Know that I always wish you well.

Like the tactless wonder above said, you can't please everyone all of the time. Take the rough with the smooth. I don't think people read your blog to be pleased with every post. I don't think anyone loves every single post by any blogger. You're probably not going to like every single comment you get.

If you posted something and then thought about it and changed your mind on whatever first came out of your 'mouth', make another post apologising for any offence caused and saying what your stance is now. People think about things and change their minds all the time (or so the politicians hope!).

I didn't read the previous post, although I got the first few lines on my blogger reader thingy. I hope you won't stop blogging.

I wouldn't blame you for shutting down your blog. Is it really worth it? Don't you FB and Twitter? How much more is there really to write about?

Additionally, if you choose to continue to blog, why do you even care what others think?

I saw the previous post in my reader, but don't see what in it would have inflamed people? Am I missing something?

It's your blog, say what you want to! You don't have to please everyone, if they don't like it, let the door hit THEM in the ass on the way out!

I'm behind.

I read your previous post in my feed reader. Then I saw this and went back and read it again.

If someone got upset about THAT, they really had to work for it. I vote let it go and keep blogging. But that's because I'd miss you if you were gone!!!
