Just in Time for the Nippiness!

I thought my dishwasher had caught fire yesterday (cue flashbacks to Texass). In actuality it was just so cold in the apartment that it was steam. Whew!

We're trying to make it till December 1 without turning on the heat. We've broken out the electric blankets, footie pajamas (Moochie), and in my case--keeping a hat for myself.

I finished my third Sockhead hat.

So serious...

I'll spare you the details other than to say that I DID knit mine on size 2s. It was car knitting so it took longer this time.

And while it doesn't make me look like a hot mama like Jo in her Noro Sockhead or as cute as Zonda in her STR Cherry Tree Hill one does keep me warm.

Or not!

And as an added bonus, I realized this hat is green and gold! It should match my new t-shirt!

Cute hat! The idea of knitting anything with either sock yarn or size 2 needles sounds totally intimidating to me!

And yes, I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold. I've had my furnace on since about mid October, ha, ha!

I'm bad... wanna guess how I misread 'nippiness'? You are super cute - especially with that grin in the second picture :)

Jealous! You look good in the hat that looks like butt. I'm giving mine to my 4 year old Goddaughter because it makes me look like a freak.

I am all about the cold, however. We're enjoying the chill because the landlords control our heat... which means desperately trying to keep blankets on N. because he hates footies ;-)

We gave in and turned the heat on just to fire off the furnace for the first time. Then we turned it so far down that it won't come on unless there's snow on the ground. No electric heaters, yet but my toes are always cold!

My heat is on AND my electric blanket is out. I'm a wimp. On the other hand, I never complain about heat in the summer!

And cute hat! I'm knitting a sockhead hat for myself, as soon as I finish this hat for the niece.

Yey on the win! I've got a couple sockhead hats done...but neither has called out to me...but it is a great commute/lunchtime knit as I don't have to think, just not drop any stitches.

Maybe one day I'll find a color that I like enough to keep. Our heat? I don't control the the thermostat, so I've been baking for what feel like months already.

Hey, is that the yarn I sent you with the big box of beans a couple years ago?

We caved in on the heat a little before my goal date of November 1. I think it was Oct 30, so almost there.
