Emergency Knitting

Mr. Mooch has been cutting out his afternoon naps on the weekends.

Quite annoying.

So on Sunday when I pulled up in front of the apartment after running some errands and noticed this in my back seat--

I turned off the car, cracked a couple of windows, popped in some tunes...

And grooved on my car-sock...

Got a whole half hour of sleep out of him before my damn neighbor walked up to the car and asked me loudly what I was doing just sitting in my parked car--waking up my little Mooch.

I'm impressed! My kids would usually fall asleep in the car, and then wake up the minute we got home. Now neither one of them will take a nap unless they're sick, and sometimes not even then. Funny how kids act like naps are torture, but we adults would kill for a chance to take a nap!

At the very least you got a half hour nap out of him!!! And one darn cute picture!

I agree with Laura...we adults would kill for a mid-day nap!!

Love, Mom

I'm a car-napper, too! I love having Clint drive on the weekends so I can get some z's!

You've got a cute boy on your hands!

What a cutie! My kids always woke up the second the car turned off. I'm liking those socks... You know, since they're LSU colors ;-)

I have friends who have said when their kids were little if they couldn't get them to sleep at night, they would take them for a car ride. Put them right out. We used to laugh at my Mom because she was just like a little kid falling asleep in the car. I'm quite fond of an afternoon nap even if it's just for a half an hour. Recharges me & I still can sleep at night. Love, Aunt Susan

WTH is up with that neighbor? I have two words for you: Justifiable Homicide.
N. went on a nap strike for a while, but seems to be back on track for now... I don't so much need to nap myself, but I like the little break in the action to get other stuff done. Hopefully Mooch will come back to the NapSide.

Boo-hiss! Who wakes up sleeping babies?!?! I've eaten my lunch in the car in my driveway before because it was the only way I was going to eat with Piper not yelling at me to pick her up...

He's so cute! I never understood why they can sleep sitting up with no problems, but a nap in a nice bed is an issue. Go figure.
